Priyanka Gill is a blogger and journalist based in London. She has written for The Independent, Tehelka, Hi! Blitz, Travel and Leisure and various other magazines and websites.
Her interest is in lifestyle features. She enjoys writing profiles and reviewing restaurants, books and movies. She is passionate about fashion as a medium of self expression and as a celebration of individual style.
Modern and contemporary Indian art is one of her great loves, she is a keen collector and enthusiastic bidder at auctions.
An active supporter of several charities. She co-chaired the Pratham UK Gala for 2010 and 2011. During that period, the gala raised over 3 million pounds to support children's literacy in India.
Priyanka and her husband are patrons of the British Asian Trust. It aims to serve as a ‘social fund’ in support of high impact charities within the areas of education, enterprise and health in South Asia (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan & Sri Lanka) and the UK.
They are also donors to the Savitri Waney charitable trust, a wonderful initiative that establishes health and educational services to rural India.
In 2011, Priyanka supported the Hare Ball, a very sucessful fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Priyanka is fascinated by all things digital, adopting new technology eagerly. The social media revolution fascinates her as the main driver for social interaction and how it has shaped the way society interacts and communicates on a daily basis.
She is currently studying for her Master's degree in Modern India at King's India Institute.
Priyanka was born and educated in India. She is happily married with two young kids.
